Courses during winter term 2022/23

The obligatory pre-registration for our courses in winter term 2022/23 will take place from September 19th until October 9th via our online portal.

Course places will be allocated after the registration period.

All courses will be running in the period between October 24th 2022 until February 3rd 2023.


Intensive Preparatory Courses

Presumably, but depending on the pandemic situation, face-to-face courses will be held again from April 2022, or there will be a combination of face-to-face and online teaching or examinations in variable proportions from April 2022.

TestDaF

The next course dates 2022:
12.05. - 10.06.2022 (preparation for the digital exam),
15.08. - 09.09.2022 (preparation for the digital exam),
14.09. - 11.10.2022 (preparation for the paper-based examination)
12.10. - 08.11.2022 (preparation for the digital examination)


The courses to prepare for the TestDaF examination last 4 weeks and comprise a total of about 20 teaching units per week. You will get to know the exam format and acquire strategies to be able to work effectively on the different subtests. You will also expand the skills that are important for successful communication in your studies.

You will work with a course book and the materials we provide on the Moodle learning platform. You will take part in face-to-face and online lessons (via Zoom) and receive feedback on your performance. Plan on a workload of about 4-5 hours per day. You will have the opportunity to take a model test during the course and receive feedback on it.

TestAS

The TestAS is a centralised, standardised aptitude test for foreign students. TestAS gives prospective students information about their individual ranking compared to other applicants. With good results, they can improve their chances of being admitted for studies at a German university.

New: With the dMAT into your Master's programme
The dMAT is the digital aptitude test for Master's degree programmes in Germany. It is developed by universities in cooperation with g.a.s.t.. With the dMAT certificate, you show that you are professionally qualified for selected degree programmes. The dMAT is an additional proof of your previous academic achievements and degrees.

So far, the dMAT has been available for the subjects Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics, and will be available for other subjects in the future.
You can take it in German or English.

  • Subject-specific and professional language courses "Specialist language communication in the school context with a focus on MINT" and "German for the teaching profession" as part of the project for prospective students" for prospective students with a refugee background; sub-project "LehrkräftePLUS"
